The moment the steaming bowl arrives captures attention more than any menu description could. The rich broth, deep with umami, cradles perfectly chewy noodles and a tender slice of pork that speaks to careful preparation rather than rush. In looking through various Higuma reviews, it becomes clear that this balance consistently earns praise, even among those who frequent ramen spots across Paris. While the space feels cozy and authentic, its popularity means it often hums with conversation, making it sometimes challenging to relax fully. The Higuma menu manages to stay straightforward, drawing focus to essentials rather than overwhelming with options.
A glance through Higuma photos online reveals a simplicity mirrored in the restaurant itself: minimal decoration, close seating, and a steady stream of diners eager for comfort food. Such imagery aligns well with the dining experience described. Plates arrive with efficiency and without much fanfare, highlighting a practical service style that neither distracts nor dazzles but reliably supports the meal’s enjoyment. While some patrons might prefer a quieter, more intimate environment, the vibrancy here adds a layer of energy distinct from more polished establishments.
Discussions about Higuma restaurant often touch on value, where the price point pairs well with the quality delivered. There is a consistency in the ramen’s flavors that attracts repeated visits, as well as a sense of tradition preserved within an otherwise bustling culinary scene. The straightforward approach might lack elaborate garnish or avant-garde techniques, yet this restraint is part of what defines its appeal. Even for those who stumble across Higuma without prior knowledge, the experience tends to defy the expectation that Parisian eateries always aim to impress with ornate presentation rather than substance.

This place has a charming, old-school feel — almost like a classic Showa-era Japanese Chinese restaurant, but right in the heart of Paris. It’s clearly popular, as there’s always a line and the place stays busy, and now I fully understand why. The ramen has a gentle, comforting broth reminiscent of traditional Japanese chūka soba, and every dish we tried was delicious — the fried rice, the gyoza, and even the char siu on its own were all excellent. A wonderful spot with a nostalgic atmosphere and consistently tasty food. Highly recommended!
Very good traditional japonais food in sainte Anne street in Paris. I have been there several times and will go beach again. The food is actually very good if you like Asian and notably the japonais food. The service is very quick, but not caring. Most of the time there is a line outside that you have to wait 10-20 minutes. No reservations needed. The ambiance is just ok. Enjoy!
Came just right at the time they open 11.30am. Already few people obviously as hungry as I am. First time here. Selected Menu A @€15: Shiosu ramen + 7 Gyosa Gyosa was good but not fried enough. The ramen soup was well seasoned and flavored though the noodle was more a Chinese egg noodle than Japanese true ramen. It was tasty though a bit shy of another slice of meat (probably because it’s the menu). The service was very fast and efficient and no unnecessary talk. It’s definitely more of eat and go than taking all the time in the world.
